Triples Get The Vote

In a recent survey of the top 100 bikes, readers’ votes placed three Triumph models into the top 5!

Globally acclaimed motorcycle publication, MCN, surveyed more than 12,000 readers worldwide rating their bikes on comfort, handling, build quality, braking and more.

The results are that of the top 5 places, readers voted Triumph into positions 2, 3 and 5. And it should not go unsaid that both the Street Triple and Daytona 675 (taking out second and third place respectively) missed the top ranking by a mere 1%.

Street Triple
The continued success of the Street Triple is well explained by the results of this survey. One owner stated “Fast, comfortable, sounds incredible, torquey AND revvy, good looking, superb handling…” while another really summed it up perfectly with “Absolutely brilliant, why would you want anything else?”

The Street Triple was awarded second places with an overall rating of 93%, receiving its best rating of 96% on Engine performance.

Daytona 675
With the Street Triple taking out second place, it only seems fitting that engine donor and supersports sibling, the Daytona 675 is awarded third with an equal overall rating of 93%.

The Daytona 675 is a unique model challenging the mid-weight supersports market and receiving great results. Only recently MCN revealed that in the United Kingdom 16% of all supersport models sold were Daytona 675s.

Those surveyed commented “It’s just brilliant… It has a lovely smooth engine, great handling and proper brakes… steers with a twitch of the eyeballs”

When rating individual components the Daytona received a 97% for engine performance, 91% for handling and 91% for reliability (that’s 5% more on reliability than the bike which took first place)

The Daytona 675 also took out MCN’s sports bike of the year in 2009.

Speed Triple
Closing up the top five was the Speed Triple. This great motorcycle has stood the test of time with few modifications since its latest major upgrade in 2005. The Triumph Speed Triple was voted with a 91% overall rating.

The Speed Triple again receives rave comments including “Absolutely fantastic… Had the bike for sevens months now and have had nothing but the best riding of my whole 16 years on bikes.”

The Speed Triple continues to show great features as the voters report an average of 93% for engine performance and a 92% on reliability.

With continued growth in a range of market segments Triumph motorcycles are becoming a popular choice for riders seeking a unique, strong and performing motorcycle with a strong network of dealers anda growing manufacturer to back the brand.
