The ride

There can be few landscapes on earth more dramatic than the incredible natural geography of Nevada, Utah and Arizona, where the vast scale and scorched appearance of the region give it an almost Martian quality. Bisecting this remarkable world are some of the most thrilling sweeping roadways North America has to offer, making it an endlessly sought-after playground for motorcyclists, who revel in its majesty and the way riding it makes them feel.

Maximizing that feeling and sense of adventure on an epic ride is precisely what Triumph’s new Thunderbird LT has been created for, and our 12 competition winners will get the chance to put the perfect bike to the perfect route in what promises to be one of the most memorable weeks of their lives – the ride of a lifetime.

Day 1

Viva Las Vegas

Before nature’s landmarks get the chance to make their impression, riders will be confronted with some of the world’s most ambitious man-made creations as they fly into Vegas, take on the croupier at their hotel casino, and get acquainted with the Thunderbird LT

Day 2-3

Las Vegas to Monument Valley

As the ride leaves the city, our winners will notice the stark contrast in landscape. Man’s attempt to tame nature is plain to see at the Hoover Dam, but the all-conquering power of the great outdoors surrounds the historic Route 66 in spectacular fashion, especially during an extended stop at the Grand Canyon, before riding on to Monument Valley.

Day 4-6

Monument Valley to Zion National Park

The iconic scenery is matched only by the stunning ride, with every day offering more tarmac to chase down, and an energizing combination of long straights and tight twists to thread together. The consistent climate, amazing sunrises and sunsets, and the unique rock formations at places such as Bryce Canyon on day five will only serve to make the ride even more special.

Day 7-8

Zion National Park to Las Vegas

There will certainly be no dip in the excitement as the ride enters the home straight, charging through the jaw-dropping Valley of Fire – the setting for numerous westerns – with its deep connection to many ancient Native American tribes. Winners will then return to Vegas with a further cinematic flourish, riding in convoy along the city’s world-famous strip, tying together the loop at the end of an amazing eight days.
