Triumph’s Steve McQueen Legends series is further extended for Autumn/Winter 09 with the introduction of the McQueen Special Edition Jacket along with another edition to the hugely popular t-shirt collection.

Both of the AW09 products take direct influence from McQueen’s participation in the International 6 Day Trials.  McQueen entered the ISDT in 1964 as part of a US team in the then communist Iron Curtain of East Germany.  This 200 mile endurance event pitched McQueen against some of the world’s top riders through mountain passes, forests and trails. 

The McQueen Jacket is a modern interpretation of style of jacket worn in 1964.  Taking some of the styling from the 1964 original, the jacket incorporates the cross stitched shoulder and elbow panels and pocket detailing. 

Mimicking a vintage style fabric, the Bristex outer shell is a soft to touch abrasion resistant material.  Bonded to this is a TriTex waterproof, breathable and windproof performance membrane while the outer shell is coated to prevent water soaking in to the garment.

Detailing is also vital to this jacket’s design with the large embroidered ISDT/Triumph back panel, S McQueen chest patch, license plate patch on the arm and a commemorative cotton panel sewn in to the jacket’s liner.

The perfect combination of performance and style just like the original jacket’s owner.

Joining this great new product is a new edition to the t-shirt collection.  The McQueen #3 once again pays homage to McQueen’s participation in the ISDT and is available in blue.
