Street Triple/R voted Bike Magazine's Bike of the Year 2009
Thursday, October 15, 2009

Described by Bike Magazine as "The pinnacle of two-wheeled laugh-out-loud fun and value for money", Triumph's Street Triple and Street Triple R have been awarded joint winners of Bike magazine's 'Bike of the Year 2009'.
Unable to split the Street Triple & Street Triple R, with the 2008 R model beating it's base-model brother by a mere one point, thanks to more sophisticated suspension and wow factor, it was decided to let the top spot be shared by both bikes.
With both models sharing the same engine and frame, Bike noted the increased ability and street cred of the Street Triple R created by the fully adjustable front and rear suspension, Nissin four-piston radial front calipers and radial master cylinder.
Highlighting also the shorter forks and longer shock that alter the original geometry of the 2007 Street Triple, resulting in a sharpened up rake angle making steering even more responsive, Bike decided the R's improvements could not be faulted and just made "..... a world-class, unfathomably brilliant bike event better".
The Street Triple, fusing the style and attitude of the iconic Speed Triple with the performance and agility of the class leading Daytona 675 supersports machine and the Street Triple R, distinguishable by three stunning colour schemes: Matt Graphite, Matt Blazing Orange and a new Phantom Black and gold combination, are available from your authorised Triumph dealer for £5,949 OTR and £6,649 OTR respectively.
