Second Wind - Loudon Update

All the hard work and preparation over the winter finally paid off for the team this weekend at Loudon, with Dennis achieving excellent results on the CGS Racing Triumph in his first ever competitive event.

The first day of racing in beautiful Spring sunshine, gave Dennis and the team fourth place in the Heavyweight Supersport race. After getting the holeshot and leading into the first few corners, Dennis was passed by some of the more experienced riders but remained in a comfortable fourth place for the remainder of the race. A good performance in the first ever race by the CGS Triumph Daytona 675.

Sunday morning dawns and the fine weather has been replaced by rain. On with the wet tires and wet suit for Dennis.

The first race of the day for the team is GTU. After making a great start and leading the first lap, Dennis is also first to find out how slippery turn 10 is in the rain and unfortunately he slides out of first place and is unable to continue.

The next race for Dennis and the Triumph is Middleweight Grand Prix and arguably the best of the weekend's competition. It's a tense race as Dennis reels in Luis Ulerio and they trade places throughout the final 2 laps, with Luis ahead coming out of the final corner, but Dennis got a better drive out of the turn to take the chequered flag in first place and a nail biting four thousandths of a second ahead! Top step of the podium for Dennis, Team CGS and the Daytona 675.

Last race of the day is Heavyweight Superbike and conditions are drying out a little, but even though Dennis is showing some signs of wear and tear after the grueling wet races he manages a very respectable 3rd place to finish the weekend.

We would like to thank all of our sponsors, who supply us with the high quality components and equipment that have made it possible for the team to go racing with the outstanding Triumph Daytona 675 this year.

One more long weekend race day. It’s Monday and Nikola Racunica hoped the turn out will be good. As usual there are always more intermediate riders than expert riders. The day was sunny and hot and perfect weather conditions for a race day.

The morning weather was just awful and not promising at all.. The pits were flooded from the heavy rain fall from the previous night. I did not have any other choice but to go practice on the wet track.
