Wild Card FX ride for Alastair Fagan with Team S-Works at Road Atlanta
Tuesday, August 26, 2008

A one time ride was negotiated between Truimph Motorcycles and Fast Bikes magazine to have 26 yr. Old Alastair Fagan of Fast Bikes Magazine fill in for injured team rider Shane Narbonne in Formula Xtreme at Road Atlanta for the AMA round next weekend. Fagan currently competes in the British Supersport Cup on a JHS Racing prepared Triumph 675. His Road Racing experience goes back to 2004 with the winning of the Hornet 600 cup in his first year. He switched over from motocross where he made it to the Nation level in the school boy ranks. Consistent top ten finishes in Superstock and the R6 cup followed, then riding a 675, he became the first Triumph rider to win at Castle Combe circuit in 30 years, taking three Sound Of Thunder victories, and a 5th and 6th in Grand National Superbike races, all on the 675.
For 2008, again he won both of the Castle Combe Sound of Thunder races and scored second place in the Grand National Superbike race on a stock Honda Fireblade.
Alastair comes straight off of a weekend at Cadwell Park and will see Atlanta for his first time on Thursday. After taking an event off with VIR due to Shane’s injuries and the short time between rounds, the team looks forward to the opportunity to compete again at Road Atlanta and to accommodate the magazine and Triumph Motorcycles in having a successful weekend.
The team also wishes Shane Narbonne a speedy recovery, and hopes to see him back on a race bike as soon as he is able. Shane ran a very respectable season on the S-Works 675 with a best finish of 13th at Fontana Ca. and helped make a first year team get off the ground.
Team S-Works is supported by Triumph Motorcycles America competing in Formula Xtreme in the AMA.
