Triumph Factory Racing Team
The Triumph Factory Racing team is racing in the FIM MX2 Motocross World Championship for a third season in 2026, following its successful debut campaign in 2024 and second season in 2025. In just their first outing in 2024, the team took a spectacular podium finish in Argentina with Mikkel Haarup, and this was followed up with a second trip to the rostrum just two rounds later with Camden McLellan – cementing Triumph and the team’s status as serious competitors amongst the world’s best. The riders ultimately finished the season fifth and ninth overall, achieving regular top-three and top-five moto finishes.
In 2025, the team cemented its status in the championship as a formidable contender, with Guillem Farres joining Camden McLellan to further prove the TF 250-X’s ability. South African racer McLellan took a 2-3 finish in Riola Sardo in April to clinch second overall in the sand of Sardinia, and a race win, Triumph’s first moto win in the series, in Trentino, an Italian hard-pack track. Farres secured a moto win and a second-place overall finish on the podium in Germany, a career first for the Spanish racer and making him the third rider to podium in the Motocross World Championship aboard Triumph machinery. McLellan finished fifth in the championship, while Farres finished a positive eighth, despite missing three rounds due to injury.
The Triumph Factory Racing team is led by Team Owner Thierry Chizat-Suzzoni, alongside Team Manager Vincent Bereni. This highly respected, experienced, and accomplished duo has been pivotal in many riders’ careers over the last decade; together, the pairing has helped guide multiple riders to success, winning no fewer than 80 GPs in the FIM Motocross World Championship.
Deeply involved in the machine development process, both OEM and racing, Chizat-Suzzoni and Bereni are highly motivated to achieve success with Triumph’s motocross bike, the TF 250-X, which was introduced to market in 2024. The duo worked closely with Triumph engineers from Hinckley, UK, bringing in their own team’s expertise, which was fundamental to development, and also launching an entirely new racing project. In addition, Test Rider—and now Rider Coach—Clement Desalle was pivotal to the entire development process before handing the reins over to the factory riders.
With the MXGP and MX2 series not following the same homologation rules as the US, they provide an ideal test and development platform for manufacturers to refine and test their products and ideas. The team continues to work extremely hard behind the scenes with Triumph engineers and hope to continue to share many further ‘first’ successes with Triumph over the next few seasons.
