PTR Triumph Factory Racing

FIM Supersport World Championship

The FIM Supersport World Championship is one of the most competitive motorcycle racing series in the world. Featuring production-based middleweight machines and elite riders from across the globe, the championship delivers intense wheel-to-wheel racing across some of the most iconic circuits.

Triumph supplies the 765cc triple engine platform used across the championship, derived from the same architecture as the Street Triple engine family. Built for high performance and durability, the engine delivers the responsiveness and power required for world-class competition.

The championship calendar spans multiple continents, bringing together teams, riders, and manufacturers to compete for the Supersport World Championship title.

In 2026, the team fields Tom Booth-Amos, from Newport, Shropshire, for a third season, and Australia’s Oli Bayliss for his second term with the squad.

PTR Triumph Factory Racing Team

The PTR Triumph Factory Racing team, based in Lincolnshire, UK, is managed by Simon Buckmaster, who has been involved in racing from a young age both as a competitor and a manager. In fact, in the early years of his racing career, Buckmaster competed on a Triumph Bonneville.
