ECO MODE

In addition to reducing peak power output and softening throttle response, Eco mode displays an intuitive efficiency meter on the instruments, helping riders optimize their riding style to make the most of every drop of fuel and extend the already impressive fuel range.

SEMI-ACTIVE SUSPENSION

Electronically controlled semi-active Showa EERA HeightFlex® suspension works seamlessly in the background to deliver outstanding comfort with a natural, planted ride feel. Large 49mm (1.9-inch) diameter forks pair with a monoshock rear suspension unit (RSU) featuring automatic self-leveling preload adjustment to maintain the ideal ride height and geometry whether riding solo, two-up, or fully loaded. RUGGED EVO LUGGAGE

Built for rigidity and stability, the Evo luggage system was redeveloped in partnership with GIVI to support an increased load-carrying capacity while maintaining confident handling when fully loaded. Crafted from durable aluminum and finished in silver or anodized black, the high-quality Evo system offers a choice of an 11.1-gallon or a new 15.3-gallon twin-helmet top box. Both are available with an optional backrest pad for added passenger comfort. Matching panniers feature easy-access openings and optional waterproof inner bags, while ignition key-locking across the system adds everyday convenience and security.

IMPROVED ERGONOMICS

Lower seat heights across the range and optimized ergonomics that revise handlebar and footpeg positions enhance accessibility, comfort, and control. On Explorer models, the handlebars are mounted 0.4 inches (10mm) higher than on Pro versions and are now 0.4 inches (10mm) wider, delivering a more commanding and upright riding position. Across all variants, the handlebars are mounted using a damper to maximize comfort. The footpeg position was also revised, with all versions now benefiting from the same higher and more engaging riding position while still offering the best legroom in class for taller riders.

ENHANCED SEAT COMFORT

Redesigned with 0.4 inches (10mm) of additional foam thickness for improved comfort, the rider and passenger seats maintain the same accessible seat height thanks to more efficient use of space within the bike’s chassis layout. The strong, welded vinyl construction on the rider’s seat reduces bulky seams for improved comfort, while heated rider and passenger seats come as standard on all variants, ensuring comfort in all conditions, mile after mile.

TRI-LINK SWINGARM

HIGHER PERFORMANCE

A redesigned cylinder head featuring new pistons, lighter inlet and exhaust valves, and more precise fuel injection improves combustion efficiency, while a freer-flowing exhaust system adopts a larger cross-section catalyst to reduce back pressure and optimize gas flow. Together, these changes deliver higher peak power and peak torque earlier in the rev range for a broader, more responsive torque curve. New gear ratios in first through third gears put more torque to the road, sharpening throttle response for instant acceleration and a more thrilling ride.

SHOWA EERA HEIGHTFLEX®

The systems of the bike continuously monitor speed and braking, using a hydraulic pump to reduce rear suspension pressure and lower the seat by 1.2 inches as you come to a stop, delivering the same reassuring reduction in height whether riding solo, two-up, or with luggage. As you pull away, the optimum ride height is restored in just a few seconds. With the side stand deployed, the remaining suspension pressure is fully released to drop the motorcycle to its lowest possible position, making it easier to get on and off. The automatic self-lowering function can also be easily switched on or off, depending on rider preference.

ADJUSTABLE SEAT HEIGHT

A two-position seat mechanism offers 0.8 inches of vertical adjustment, allowing riders to fine-tune ergonomics and riding position. In conjunction with an accessory low seat that reduces this by an additional 0.8 inches and with the self-lowering function active, the Tiger 1200 delivers an incredibly low seat height of just 31.1 inches at a standstill.

CENTER STAND ASSIST

Optimized stand geometry is combined with automatic suspension control to make lifting the bike onto the center stand significantly easier. As the center stand is deployed, the suspension pressurizes to reduce sag and raise the rear of the bike, resulting in a lighter, more controlled action, even when the Tiger 1200 is fully laden. With the side stand deployed, the rear preload is automatically reduced to its minimum setting, dropping the motorcycle to its lowest height and making it effortless to fold the stand away as you get back on and pull off.

OFF-ROAD MODES

Off-road riding modes can be selected on the move to optimize throttle response, Traction Control, and ABS (plus connected functions like Front-Wheel Lift Control) for loose surfaces. On Rally versions, Off-road Pro mode deactivates TC completely for unfiltered control. To support running lower pressures off-road, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) moves to a live display, keeping you informed of the status without triggering an alert. In both Off-road riding modes, automatic lowering suspension is replaced by high and low ride height settings, allowing riders to quickly switch from sure-footed confidence to maximum ground clearance at the press of a button.

COMFORT OR DYNAMIC MODES
