The TF 450-X engine is fully machined in-house for the most premium level of production. Components such as the fire face, combustion chamber, ports, seats, and guides are created with high levels of refinement for optimized airflow and efficient combustion. Coolant routing is perfected using computational fluid dynamics (CFD), to maintain stable temperatures during long motos. The compact head design provides ease of serviceability for rapid maintenance between sessions.

CLUTCH & SHIFTING UPGRADED FOR FASTER GEAR CHANGES

Finding the perfect feeling from finger to foot is important. A new clutch pack for MY27 features an upgraded hose and bearings, which improves engagement feel, heat resistance, and durability. A comprehensive gearchange improvement package includes a new selector fork, drum, star, detent arm, selector shaft, and gear lever, which combine to deliver smoother and more precise shifts under load for improved confidence when fighting for victory.

ATHENA GET ENGINE CONTROL

The ECU is co-developed with Athena, who have an abundance of experience competing at the highest level and work closely with Triumph Factory Racing on our AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross race bikes. It manages ignition, traction, and launch strategies with race-proven precision. Two standard engine maps offer a full-power and a softened delivery mode. Using the optional Wi-Fi module and MX Tune Pro app unlocks ten additional maps for precise next-level power character, throttle response, and engine braking.
