SPOKED WHEELS​

The spoked wheels finish the T40 Black’s authentic Bonneville design and contribute to its agile handling and blacked-out looks. The wheels are constructed using lightweight aluminum rims and traditional steel spokes. The Bonneville T40 has a dedicated engine, featuring a revised cylinder head and a new engine tune to deliver the distinctive torque-rich Bonneville riding experience. To retain the beautiful classic looks, the wires and hoses required for the modern performance and features are carefully concealed. The engine wears the classic triangle Triumph badge, contributing to the clean and uncluttered engine design that’s key to the T40 Black’s classic good looks.

TORQUE-RICH PERFORMANCE

The TR-Series engine delivers an authentic Bonneville riding experience with torque-rich performance from a revised cylinder head and camshafts, plus a dedicated Bonneville engine tune. Tuned to deliver torque-rich performance lower down in the rev range, the T40 Black produces 26.6 lb-ft of peak torque at 5,000 RPM, offering strong acceleration and loads of character.

5 RIDING MODES

Three preconfigured and two customizable modes allow the rider to tailor the bike to their preferences and riding experience.  Each riding mode adjusts the throttle response, traction control, and ABS to offer a distinct experience in each riding mode that is suited to the conditions. The rider can select their favorite riding modes to add to a quick-access menu on the TFT display.

A new full-color circular TFT blends modern technology with classic style. Key riding information, including gear position, indicators, ambient temperature, and fuel gauge are displayed prominently. The central portion can be used to scroll through phone-connectivity features or the bike’s menus. Customizable widgets can be accessed using the switch cube, allowing riders to easily access their favorite functions.

FULL MAP NAVIGATION​

A brand-new mapping system comes as standard on the Bonneville T40 Black and is powered via the new Triumph Navigation App. With a full-map view and speed-limit* display shown directly on the TFT, navigating new routes has never been easier. Favorite destinations, points of interest, and recent searches are accessed on the bike through the TFT display, allowing you to leave your phone in your pocket and focus on enjoying the ride.

PHONE CONNECTIVITY​

Phone Connectivity comes as standard and is operated intuitively through the TFT display. Riders can answer calls, access contacts, and control music playback directly via the left‑hand switch cube, allowing them to stay connected to the world around them. For quick and effortless access, media functions can be assigned to one of five customizable widgets. These can be easily navigated while riding, ensuring key features are always just a button press away.

HERITAGE MODE​

To complete the heritage look, an analog-style display can be activated by selecting “heritage mode” from the bike’s main screen. This replaces the standard display with a more traditional style, allowing the modern TFT display to pay homage to Bonnevilles of the past while retaining its modern functionality.

LEAN-SENSITIVE RIDER AIDS

The Bonneville T40 Black features lean-sensitive rider aids, Optimized Cornering ABS, and Optimized Cornering Traction Control. CRUISE CONTROL

ALL-LED LIGHTING​

For added convenience and confidence, the headlight automatically switches from DRL to dip beam when ambient light levels drop. The switch cubes are backlit, further enhancing the riding experience and ease of use during low-light conditions.

EMERGENCY DECELERATION WARNING

The Emergency Deceleration Warning enhances visibility and awareness of surrounding vehicles during heavy braking. Under heavy braking, the system automatically flashes the rear light to alert other riders and drivers behind that the motorcycle is slowing rapidly.

TRIUMPH NAVIGATION APP​

The brand-new Triumph Navigation App connects seamlessly with your T40 Black for easy navigation.
